Privacy policy
This policy explains what Benaiah Godson Pty Ltd collects, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Order details — name, email, phone, delivery address, and what you ordered. We need these to fulfil and support the order.
- Account details — your email, name and password. Passwords are stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash; we never hold the password itself and cannot recover it.
- Things you save — wishlist, saved configurations and savings goals. If you are not signed in, these stay on your device and never reach us.
- Marketing email — only if you give it to us, and you can unsubscribe from any message.
We do not collect or store card numbers. Payments are handled by our payment provider, and card details go directly to them.
Why we use it
To take, fulfil, deliver and support your orders; to meet legal obligations including tax records and age-restriction checks; to prevent fraud; and — where you have opted in — to send you offers. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only those who need it to complete your order: delivery carriers, installers and tradespeople assigned to your job, suppliers who ship directly, our payment provider, and our hosting and database providers. Where installed work is dispatched to a trade partner, they receive the job details and your contact and site address — nothing more.
Where it is held
Data is held on our hosting and database providers, which may store or process it outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for at least five years, as Australian tax law requires. Account data is kept while your account is open. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, unsubscribe from marketing, or ask us to delete your account. Email care@benaiah.app. We may need to keep order and tax records even after an account is closed, because the law requires it.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries to keep you signed in, hold your cart, and remember that you have dismissed the welcome message. We do not use advertising trackers.
Complaints
Email care@benaiah.app and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
